After a hard-fought draw against ATK Mohun Bagan, Des Buckingham’s Mumbai City are back in action against the Marina Machans at PJN Stadium in Fatorda later today at 7:30PM.

After a draw against the Highlanders, Mumbai City took on a newly renewed ATK Mohun Bagan side, now coached by former FC Goa manager; Juan Ferrando. The game started off with an early goal for the Kolkata side with striker David Williams capitalizing on an error from Ahmed Jahouh. Conceding an early goal meant that the Islanders again had their backs to the wall as they chased the game to find an equaliser. An own goal by Pritam Kotal from an Bipin Singh cross made sure the points were shared at the end of the full time at Fatorda.

The Marina Machans who started the season strong have seen their form dwindle since the turn of the year. The Bozidar Bandovic managed side saw their lead cut down twice by bottom placed SC East Bengal as the game ended in a two all draw in their last Hero ISL clash.

This is a fixture which is finely poised with both the teams finding themselves in a similar position in terms of the points and form. The Islanders whose last win of the season came against Chennaiyin FC in the reverse fixtures will be hoping for a change of form and luck when they take them on tonight.

Team News:

The Islanders are expected to have the full contingent available for the game against Chennaiyin FC. For the Marina Machans Vladimir Koman and Sajid Dhot are unavailable for selection today according to Coach Bozidar Bandovic.
