A wake up call. That's what was handed to Jorge Costa and the Islanders after a disappointing 5-0 defeat at the hands of FC Goa. While the scoreline won't reflect the true story of the the game, the boys were made to rue plenty of missed chances in a solid first half. The second half was quite the opposite with a performance every Islanders' faithful would like to forget as soon as possible.

With an opportunity to put the loss behind, the Islanders now switch their focus onto the next game against Delhi Dynamos FC who make their way to Mumbai after a goalless draw against defending champions, Chennaiyin FC in Delhi. The Lions, under new coach Josep Gombau, have struggled in attack as well, scoring 3 goals in 4 matches.

There's plenty at stake in tomorrow's fixture with a win for either side giving them added confidence going into the next set of games and most importantly, climbing up the packed ISL table.

Jorge Costa stressed in his pre-match press conference that his team is going to fightback and put on a better show. With every game being an important one, there's a good opportunity for the Islanders to get back to winning ways in front of their home fans.
