Mumbai City are set to take the field in a high-stakes Super Cup semi-final as they face FC Goa tomorrow at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. Ahead of the knockout clash, Head Coach Petr Kratky and midfielder Brandon Fernandes shared their thoughts at the pre-match press conference.

Speaking on the team’s preparation for the semi-final, Head Coach Petr Kratky praised his squad’s commitment and readiness for the challenge. “This season has been unique in many ways, but the players have given everything in training,” he said. “The attitude has been excellent and we have prepared with a clear intention to be competitive and give our best on the field. FC Goa is a strong opponent and we are ready for what lies ahead.”

Seasoned midfielder, Brandon Fernandes shared further insight into the excitement within the squad, “We are all excited for the chance to qualify for the AFC Champions League Two. We will give our best on the field and play as a team, and we believe that we can that the next step towards the final.”

Assessing the challenge of playing in the midfield against FC Goa, Brandon added, “We have to be extremely focused and prepared since FC Goa have performed well recently. By executing our game plan and relying on our strengths, we can give them a hard time.

Speaking on the importance of temperament and game management in a match of this magnitude, Petr Kratky said, “Our approach for every game is the same. I want players to fight for the badge, for their teammates, and for the fans. We must start and finish well because every moment is crucial in a knockout game like this.” Reaffirming his belief in the squad and addressing the supporters, he added, “We have a good mix of young and experienced players, and I have full belief in them. If we take things step by step, starting with our next game, I am confident this group can go very far. To the fans, we want to make you proud and the players will wear their heart on their sleeve and leave everything on the pitch.”
