Mumbai City will travel to Kochi to take on Kerala Blasters FC in their third fixture of the MG Indian Super League 2026-27 season at the JLN Stadium on 25 October, after a 1-1 draw away to Punjab FC.
The Islanders showed resilience in Delhi, and Head Coach Manolo Márquez took the positives from the defensive display away from home against Punjab FC.
“In terms of defence, we played a good game against Punjab the other day. We conceded very late, and we were playing with 10 players. Punjab are a very good team, and they pushed hard to find the equaliser. As for the next game, everyone knows that playing in Kerala is a special experience. It is Kerala Blasters’ first home game, so we know it will be tough, but I think it will be just as difficult for them,” he said.
Forward Farukh Choudhary, who has previously been a part of Kerala Blasters and has played in Kochi against them over the years as well, spoke about the atmosphere that awaits the team.
“I’ve played there every year. For a footballer, when you have so many fans in the stadium, whether they are your fans or the opposition’s fans, it’s always a great experience to play in such an atmosphere. Of course, the atmosphere will be different. Either we can use it to our advantage or we can let it get to our heads. We shouldn’t let it put pressure on us. We need to stay focused on the game, no matter what happens outside, and stick to the plan,” he said.
With a challenging atmosphere expected, Mumbai City will look to stay composed and carry the defensive solidity from Delhi into the contest.
The match will kick off at 7:30 PM on Sunday, 25 October 2026, and will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network and streamed on Sony LIV. Free streaming will also be available on YouTube. Live updates will be available across the Club’s official social media handles.
