Mumbai City will take on SC Delhi in their first home fixture of the MG Indian Super League 2026-27 season at the Mumbai Football Arena on 1st November, as the Islanders look to secure their first win of the campaign in front of their home supporters.
Having drawn their last two matches against Punjab FC and Kerala Blasters FC, the Islanders return to Mumbai for their fourth game of the season. Head Coach Manolo Márquez spoke about the importance of the occasion and the progress so far.
“It is always important to win, whether it is the first game of the season or, in this case, our first home game. We are playing better with every game, and I feel we deserve more points than we have. In Kerala, the team performed well in a great home atmosphere, and I think we had the clearest chances. We prefer to play at home in front of our supporters, and tomorrow, we will go for the three points,” he said.
Defender Lazar Cirkovic echoed the Head Coach’s sentiments, highlighting the positive mood in the camp and urging the fans to turn out in numbers.
“The atmosphere in the team is very good, and everybody is ready despite the unfortunate injuries we have had. We are looking forward to our first home match, and we are looking for our first three points of the season. We hope to start on the front foot in front of our fans. I would like to invite as many supporters as possible to come and support the team because we need them,” he said.
With the home crowd behind them, Mumbai City will aim to turn their improving performances into a much-needed victory.
The match will kick off at 5:00 PM on Sunday, 1st November 2026, and will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network and streamed on Sony LIV. Free streaming will also be available on YouTube. Live updates will be available across the Club’s official social media handles.
