The 2017-18 season of the Indian Super League is behind us. It’s time to hit the reset button with the brand new Hero Super Cup knocking at the door. By virtue of finishing outside the top 6, Mumbai City FC will face the young colts of the Indian Arrows in a qualifier encounter on Friday, 16 March at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar.
With 16 teams participating in the Hero Super Cup, 12 spots have already been reserved in the tournament of the top 6 teams in both, the I League and the Indian Super League. The four qualifying games here in Bhubaneshwar will round up the participation list for the knockout competition.
With qualification to the main stage of the tournament in sights, Alexandre Guimaraes’ boys have regrouped and arrived in the capital of the state of Odisha.
